What can I use TeddyApp for?

This post is inspired by my sister. As diligent and loving sister she, obviously, immediately downloaded TeddyApp. A few weeks later, I asked her about her experience with out app: What do you think of it? Did you receive some helpful advice? The answer I received caught me by surprise.

I didn’t use it yet: I’m waiting for a problem

This is undoubtedly the most interesting and enlightening feedback I could have wished for. And I am quite sure that it is a feeling shared by many users of TeddyApp. After-all, the deep-seated idea we have of psychology and emotional support is "problem-oriented" and reactive —like all healthcare. But TeddyApp is less about problems than about empowerment.

Let me explain: 

The way we currently think about —and therefore organise— our healthcare is reactive and episodic. In other words: we wait until we have a problem, and only then we take short and intensive action. 

But what if we started to consider emotional health not as ‘sick-care’ but as a part of our everyday being fit and healthy.

This is exactly what we want to achieve with TeddyApp. We want to show that it is possible to look at emotional healthcare in a completely different way: in a way that is preventive and continuous. Everyday, accessible and empowering. 

Therefore, our Teddy Coaches are ready to answer all of your questions and give advice to any issue you encounter in your day-to-day job.
